Instructions
Spirograph allows you to create colorful designs that may look complicated but are quite easy to make!
Pen Buttons
There are three pens as shown in the above image (red, yellow and green). The number at the bottom center indicates the pen number.
Pen #1 is closest to the center, Pen #2 is the middle pen and Pen #3 is the outermost pen.
You can turn each pen on or off individually by clicking on the Pen Toggle button.
The color of the pen can be changed by clicking on the color selector tab as shown above. Click on the outer ring to pick a color for the pen. The center circle shows a preview of the color:
Drawing Buttons
The width of each pen can be changed by the Stroke Down and Stroke Up buttons. This image shows the range of pen widths:
These buttons increase or decrease the frequency of a function. This images shows an example of the frequency range.
These buttons increase or decrease the amplitude of a function. This image shows the range in amplitude of Pen #2.
Function Types
You can select up to six functions to mix and match. To turn on or off a function just click on the function toggle button.
When two or more functions are turned on, the result is averaged. In this example, the Sine function and the Square function are averaged:
Below are diagrams showing the six functions with average frequency and amplitude:
Other Buttons
- Clears the screen of all current drawings
- Creates a random function with a random amplitude. Keeps the same pen color and width.
- Resets the pen to a mid-value amplitude and frequency.
