4th Whirled Content Contest: Fancy Finery
On an average day, Whirled is a place to meet up with friends to kick back, relax, and have fun chatting and playing with friends new and old. Every now and again, though, life passes us extraordinary days. Balls, weddings, feasts and festivals all give us chance to put on a new pair of shoes, add some extra shine to our ensemble, and make a trip to an extra special place to gather with friends. It is up to you to provide these special touches as you take the Whirled to new heights of finery. We're looking for Avatars, Furniture, Decor and decorated Rooms for special occasions and once-in-a-lifetime events. The top entries should be well-executed and creative. All content should be your own original work.

Categories and Prizes
All Dressed Up:
Entrants create an extravagant, luxurious, richly detailed avatar to impress and dazzle the rest of the Whirled.
To be eligible, entrants must list their avatar in the shop, with the tag Fancy_Finery, and post a link to that listing in the Shop Item Entry thread.
- Grand Prize Winner:
- Real Whirled T-shirt
- The Fancy Finery Cup to place in a Whirled room
- Spotlight Month-long link from the Brave New Whirled Hall
- Top 3 Runners Up:
- Stickers
- Fancy Finery Plate to place in a Whirled room

The Little Things:
Entrants create fine furniture, fixtures, status symbols and accent pieces to help form extra special memories.
To be eligible, entrants must list their furniture in the shop, with the tag Fancy_Finery, and post a link to that listing in the Shop Item Entry thread.

Setting the Scene:
Entrants create a sumptuous setting where Whirled players may mix and mingle in their fancy wear.
To be eligible, entrants must list their decor in the shop, with the tag Fancy_Finery, and post a link to that listing in the Shop Item Entry thread.
- Top 3 Winners each receive:
- Stickers
- Month-long link from the Brave New Whirled Hall
Somewhere to Go:
Entrants use any decor, toys, furniture, pets, and/or music to create a venue for one of life's big events. It doesn't matter who made the individual pieces, only what you do with them in your room.
To be eligible, entrants must have links to their rooms in the contest thread (see below) during judging time.

Entry and Deadline
Deadline July 5th
All avatar, furniture/toy and decor entries must be:
- original material
- listed in the shop
- tagged Fancy_Finery
- a link to the shop listing must be posted in the Shop Item Entry thread
"Somewhere to Go" entries must post links to their rooms in the contest thread. The rooms will be reviewed the week of the 5th in whatever state we find by following the link. Remember to check your link after you've posted it to make sure it goes to the right room. Use the pencil button at the top of your post to correct any errors.
Judging and Results
In the course of the event, feel free to post questions in the agent event forum, or ask the judges questions as you find us in Whirled. We'll be happy to help.
Judges
All entrants will be received stickers in recognition of putting forth the effort to create an entry.
The Little Things
Winners:
- Reichi's Remix Fountain -- Clean default graphics, a nice perspective and many remix options make this fancy fountain shine.
- Nordenx's Self-Serve Cocktails -- An intuitive user interface and impeccable graphics make these froofy drinks the life of the party.
- armillaria®'s wedding chest -- This chest is very well suited to the theme and sentiment of the contest and a bit more depth or perspective would make it really shine in a room.
- Nordenx's Whirled Idol -- Less original than we were looking for, but still solid-gold fancy.
Setting the Scene
Winner:
- Matthias's Backyard -- This estate-sized backyard is a bit rough graphically, but shows a good choice of fancy setting.
