Club Whirled is Whirled's subscription plan. This is an entirely optional subscription that for $4.95 each month gives players a number of benefits. This FAQ answers some of the questions that you may have about Club Whirled.
What benefits does Club Whirled give members?
- 45 bars every month
- A limited edition item only for Club Whirled members. These items will be created by Three Rings and commissioned from Whirled creators.
- Create parties for free
- Spread your message to the whole Whirled with /broadcast -- non-members are unable to use this command
- Your name listed at the top of all rooms and games
- A
star next to your name
- Your item favorites, along with those of your fellow subscribers, will be taken into account for the front page of the shop
- The ability to add and remove tags on shop items
- Access to certain new Whirled features before everyone else
How much does Club Whirled cost a month?
You can sign up on the Club Whirled Page for $4.95 a month. Currently full subscription to Club Whirled with all the benefits can be done only with credit card payment.
You can also purchase a limited-benefit membership to Club Whirled by paying 20 bars on the Club Whirled Page.
Exactly how long does a paid membership last?
A membership generally lasts until the same date in the next month; such as July 7th-August 7th. If the next month does not include the same number date as the start of the subscription, the subscription will end at the end of the month. For example if you subscribed for a month on 31 January 2010, your subscription would be over on 28 February 2010.
When are the bar benefits given out?
The 45 bars will be received upon subscription to Club Whirled. You only receive the 45 bars benefit once per $4.95 subscription fee paid. For multiple month subscriptions or subscriptions set to automatic billing, they will be paid on the day of the month when you first subscribed. Permanent limited Club Whirled memberships and memberships paid for with 20 bars do not receive the bar benefits.
When is the monthly item given out?
Monthly items will usually be issued on the first of the month, but may sometimes be a little delayed. When a new monthly item is added, everyone that is currently in Club Whirled will receive the item.
Is the monthly item always going to be an avatar?
Most of Club Whirled's unique limited edition items will usually be an avatar. You can see a list of Club Whirled items that have been given out.
Do you only get the avatar for the month you subscribed in, or do you get the avatar for any month your subscription is active?
When you join, you get the current item. If you are still active when a new item is added, you will get that as well. You will not get 2 copies of the same item by rejoining in a month where you already got the item.
If I buy a Club Membership by paying 20 bars, do I get all the benefits?
No, those Club Whirled memberships do not include the monthly bar benefits.
Why did some people get Club Whirled membership for free?
Cleaver gave permanent limited-benefit Club Whirled memberships as a small thank you to alpha testers who were active when Club Whirled was implemented and creators who had earned 100+ bling when the Club was implemented.
Will additional life-time subscriptions be given to creators who earn 100 bling?
No, this was only for creators who had already reached a certain amount of bling sales when Club Whirled was first implemented with release 2009-07-02.
Are the free/alpha tester subscriptions permanent?
Yes, they are permanent.
Do the free/alpha tester subscriptions get bar benefits?
No, those Club Whirled memberships do not include the monthly bar benefits.
